Non-Publsihed Submission to DC Comics Artist Workshop Page Design | Pencils: Carl Braun Design Studio: Studio Aries Release Date: June 2016 Project Info: In 2016, I participated in DC Comics' Artist Workshop Try-out. Sample scripts were posted on-line and I selected the Teen Titans' Red Robin five-page sequence to illustrate. While reading the script I began sketching the scenes, often times changing the camera position. Once I have the scenes down, the page layout begins with an emphasis on the most important visual for the page, then a nice flow through for the eye. All pages are 11 X 17" with a live area of 10 X 15", pencil on Artboard.
