Publisher: Score Entertainment Creative Direction | Graphic Design: Carl Braun Release Date: February 2004 Project Info: Towards the end of 2003, it was decided that Score Entertainment undergo a rebranding. We'd been using the sports-based Score logo on the gaming products and the thinking was that we needed to separate the entertainment brands from the sports brands. All in-house designers were invited to submit ideas. Since the majority of our card games were based on Japanese properties, I wanted to create a logo that had elements from that culture. The samurai clans had very cool symbols, usually within a circle. While that was my starting point, I also wanted to incorporate the "S" from "Score", but not have it be overbearing. Slight elements of the Ying Yang are also present in the final version, handpicked by the owner of the company. For my efforts I only received bragging rights, but I'm thrilled that this logo was my creation, the second time I had done this for employers. I smiled every time it was used - and it was used everywhere!
