Participants were to create two original key frames from the original Star Wars trilogy that expanded the story - but did not take place in the films. I choose to extend Return of the Jedi with the following scene. In The Force Awakens, we know Kylo Ren possesses the charred remains of the helmet of Darth Vader - his grandfather. I thought it would be interesting to learn how he obtained this melted symbol of the dark side. I imagined Han Solo, master smuggler and scoundrel, realized the potential value to such a piece after Luke tells Han of the funeral pyre. Han, in secret, searches for and finds the location of the burning and collects the melted helmet from the ashes. He sneaks it aboard the Millennium Falcon and sets it on the Dejarik holo-gaming table. He doesn't sit down, but maintains his distance, more out of respect than fear. He stands in silence as if not trusting his own eyes. He reminds himself of the recent, hard-fought victory and destruction of the second Death Star.
